Smooth & buttery, these mashed potatoes make the perfect side dish!
What You’ll Need:
2 lbs. Russet Potatoes
1/2 c. Butter
1/4 c. Sour Cream
1/2 c. Half & Half ( or whole milk)
1/2 tsp. Seasoned Salt
1 tsp. Ground Pepper
Instructions:
- Wash, peel and, cut potatoes into equal size pieces.
- Add to a pot with just enough water to cover the potatoes. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and allow to simmer for about 20 minutes. Or until the potatoes are fork tender.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add 5 tbsp. of butter and sour cream and begin to mash. You can use a large fork, whisk, or a hand mixer on the lowest setting!
- Add the half & half slowly, just until you the potatoes are at your desired consistency.
- Stir in the seasoned salt & pepper. Pour potatoes into an oven-safe casserole dish. Use the remaining 3 tbsp. of butter and place on top of potatoes.
- In an oven preheated to 350 degrees, bake potatoes just until butter is melted and the potatoes are warmed through. About 10-15 minutes.
